GDR Model Outlook
Overall Outlook (as of 3 Feb 2026): BULLISH TO NEUTRAL. The model has detected some improvement in the market. Let’s see if we can get meaningful followthrough…
Fundamentals Outlook (as of 24 Dec 2025): Fair Value/Rich. The model has adjusted valuations slightly upward following the release of new data. Going forward GDR Model positioning should tactically tilt a little more towards the long side, all else equal. Note that this is just a barometer to help guide longer-term decision-making rather than short-term market timing.
Long-Term Outlook (as of 30 Jan 2026): Bullish. The market closed the week strong, but it was right on the fence between strength and weakness. For now the long-term outlook remains bullish, but it’s certainly something to watch…
Short-Term Outlook (as of 3 Feb 2026): Bullish. Despite today’s sell-off the market showed strength throughout. This is likely an important observation.
Breadth Outlook (as of 3 Feb 2026): Bearish. Breadth has dropped from bullish at the start of last week all the way to bearish, and remains so despite today’s rally. This is something to keep an eye on as it is starting to produce the kind of readings that tend to happen before a meaningful sell-off…
Volatility Outlook (as of 3 Feb 2026): Stable. Volatility has been swinging between calm and stable over the last several days. Both calm and stable are bullish readings, however it’s not the most constructive sign when this component is this unstable.
GDR Model Position
The market is showing enough strength for the GDR Model to re-open a meaningful long position.
